Baton Rouge Constable Terrica Williams Celebrates Birthday in Style, Showcasing the Best of Southern Soul

Terrica Williams’ Birthday celebration brought the city out! Baton Rouge’s city officials, community leaders, family, and friends came out for an unforgettable night of celebration and Southern Soul.
The first female Constable in the history of the office, Terrica has dedicated 15 years of her professional career to enforcing the laws of the great city of Baton Rouge. What is a Constable? Her role is to preserve the public peace, execute the process of Baton Rouge City Court, and discharge other functions assigned by law.
Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Terrica is the youngest of four siblings and a graduate of Glen Oaks Senior High School. She is a member of Capital Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Robertson.
Terrica’s career in law enforcement began as a Sheriff’s Deputy at the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office. She graduated in the 162nd Basic Training Academy and worked in various units, including the Criminal Investigative Unit, Courtroom Security, Communications, and at Parish Prison.
She also worked for the Baton Rouge City Constable’s Office, where she was named the first female Sergeant to operate the City Jail. Before climbing the ranks to Sergeant, she worked closely with the youth of the community as a D.A.R.E. instructor and was recognized with the Most Outstanding Team Player Award.
Ms. Williams has a passion for giving back to her community. She aids the homeless by preparing and serving hot meals, and she organizes toy drives and school supply banks for underprivileged youth in the city, all at her own expense. She has also worked as a Bail Bond agent for 4 years.
In December 2018, Terrica Williams offered herself as a candidate for City Constable in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She was elected with 57% of the vote, making her not only one of the youngest Constables but also the first female Constable in the history of the office.
In addition to the great music and entertainment, the event also featured phenomenal performances by some of the most talented artists in the Southern Soul genre. Sir Charles Jones gave a magnetic performance with his beautiful daughter. Vince Hutchinson, Adrian Bagher, and Tyree Neal took to the stage, each delivering an unforgettable performance that had the crowd cheering and singing along.
The event was a perfect showcase of Terrica’s passion for bringing people together and highlighting the rich culture and traditions of Southern Soul and the support of Baton Rouge’s close nit community. It was a night of joy, laughter, and celebration, and everyone who attended had a great time. Terrica’s birthday celebration was a testament to her dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of others and her love for her community.
