Black Americans Suffer Direct and Indirect Consequences of the Pandemic


Black Americans continue to face serious health inequities when it comes to the pandemic. According to a recent report from the Black Coalition Against COVID, Black Americans are more likely to suffer from anxiety and depression because of the pandemic. There has also been a dramatic increase in overdoses by Black people in the last couple of years. In addition, Black children experienced higher rates of learning loss than other racial groups. The list goes on, and the Black Coalition Against COVID believes it’s important to collect as much data as possible on the injustices that have occurred.
