CONCERNED BLACK AMERICAN CITIZENS AND THE TOP 4 ORGANIZATIONS LEADING RECONSTRUCTION 2.0

DON'T WASTE CORPORATE DOLLARS ON OLD SCHOOL LEGACY ORGS LIKE NAACP

When the NAACP first began, the organization was a force to be reckoned with. In the early 1900s, in its heyday, the National Advancement for the Advanced of Colored People (NAACP) was the first and largest grassroots-based civil rights organization in the United States.  The name alone stuck fear into the hearts of Caucasian Europeans. It commanded respect. The NAACP, and other legacy organizations like it, made a name for themselves. They filed lawsuits, publicly spoke on behalf of those less served, and advocated for policies that helped the community.

Fast forward to today and most people know the NAACP because of its annual Image Awards. Legacy organizations like NAACP or National Urban League are no longer pillars of the Black American community for anyone born in 1981 and up (Millennial or Generation Z). Originally founded after a deadly race riot and eruption of targeted anti-black violent lynchings In Springfield, Illinois, in 1909, the NAACP was aimed to secure rights guaranteed in the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments to the United States Constitution.

Contemporary Black Americans are actually less likely to buy from a product or service donor just because they support the NAACP.  Black Americans know legacy organizations aren’t what they used to be and that they hold no weight in today’s political arena. The NAACP used to win legislative wars, publish crucial statistics, and organize mass protests all in the name of ending discriminating violence.

Fast forward to today and the NAACP now helps everyone except Black Americans. They advocate for Black immigrants, LGBTQ, and other “disenfranchised” communities. Its too inclusive. The Memphis NAACP chapter was the last to respond to the needs of Mason, Tennessee. Situations like the lack of clean water in Jackson should’ve been prosecuted by an external organization, in addition to an EPA investigation. But NAACP president, and Jackson resident, Derrick Johnson said Jackson’s water problems are merely a civil rights issue.

Major corporations sponsoring legacy organizations in 2023 are wasting money on an old school way of thinking. Don’t focus on the past, look to the future. Millennials, Gen X, and Gen Zs have stepped up to the plate and are picking up where baby boomers left off.

Leading the charge of influencing Black America’s trillion-dollar spending power, Reconstruction 2.0., are Freedmen led nonprofits and a super pac. When you spend your social impact dollars with this super pac and nonprofits you guarantee you are on the right side of history. Here is the list of the top four organizations leading the new reconstruction.

TOP 4 ORGS LEADING RECONSTRUCTION 2.0

  • Concerned Black American Citizens

The High Point Branch of the NAACP NC was already struggling when North Carolina IRS revoked the chapter’s tax-exempt status, then the One High Point Commission released a statement on October 19th saying the organization does not support lineage-based reparations. After NAACP Executive Director Da’Quan Marcell Love announced NAACP NC lost non-profit status on Sep 2nd and that any donations leading up to elections are taxable and not deductible for donors the NAACP NC released a statement saying it does not support Reparations for the lineage of descendants of chattel slavery. Instead of supporting North Carolina NAACP, contribute to the Concerned Black American Citizens.  CBAC is a nonpartisan public policy nonprofit that advocates for the elimination of the lineage wealth gap elimination by 2030 to restore the American Freedmen families. Instead of donating to NAACP in High Point, North Carolina donate to the Concerned Black American Citizens.  https://www.cbacusa.org/

  • Georgia for Reparations

Where are the Black American voters? Georgia for Reparations is a growing community of Georgia Voters demanding tangible solutions for Black Americans. Instead of contributing to Georgia NAACP Director, Mr. DuBose who has been with the organization since 1997, sponsors and donors in Fayetteville, GA looking to tap into consumers and voters of the future should look to Georgia for Reparations. NAACP contributors such as The Coca-Cola Company, Fidelity Bank, Porsche Experience Center Atlanta, or Marriott Hotel Pine Mountain can support Georgia for Reparations. 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20004

Script for calling Mayor Bowser: “As a US citizen, I do not give you the authority to spend any more tax dollars discussing rights or privileges for immigrants, legal or illegal.  Not only should illegal immigrants not be able to vote, but at this point, neither should legal immigrants.  Do not spend any more of our tax dollars money on immigrants until you pay us our reparations.
