American pediatricians are concerned about a spike in Covid-19 cases in children. In the last several weeks, cases in children have risen 32%. Children are much less likely than adults to become severely ill from the virus, but children can spread it to adults. Experts suggest that any child who is eligible for the vaccine should be inoculated to protect against long-haul Covid, Multi-system Inflammatory Syndrome, and hospitalization. A Kaiser Family Foundation poll found that about three in 10 American parents do not plan to get their child vaccinated at all.
