It’s finally Fall! What better time to start adopting the perfect wellness routine that fits your everyday life, but also contributes to your overall well-being? Fall is a time for fresh starts, so why not utilize the cooler seasons to stay grounded and build a foundation for yourself, find balance, and find ways to boost your health?

By creating a wellness routine, you will not need to make a new year’s resolution to start in January. I am a firm believer in starting my new year at the beginning of fall, which allows me to already be in the groove of things at the beginning of the year. For over 5 years I have found this helpful in my life and hopefully, you’ll find this guide helpful as well.

Here are our 6 tips for creating a fall wellness routine!

1. Nourishment

Feeding your body nourishing foods is the best habit to adopt as a part of your wellness routine. Consuming more whole plant-based foods contributes greatly to your overall health by boosting your immune system, detoxifying your body, healing ailments, aiding in weight loss, and boosting energy levels. This means eating fresh fruit and vegetables, legumes and beans, grains, nuts, and seeds. Avoid overly processed foods.

2. Hydrate

Hydrate the body daily. Drinking water boosts skin health, eliminates waste from the body, and aids in weight loss. Start by setting the goal to drink MORE water each day. From here aim to drink your weight in ounces. For example, if you weigh 150 pounds, your ultimate goal is to drink 150 ounces of water.

3. Exercise

By moving your body, you are creating energy flow. Movement and exercise can increase your endurance and stamina, and boost your mood. Exercise can be as simple as a 30-minute walk, a yoga class, running, or stretching in your living room.

4. Practice Mindfulness

Dedicate time to making meditation and breathwork a daily ritual. Meditation brings you peace, awareness, and stillness. A simple 5-minute meditation can make a big difference in your daily life. Taking slow deep breaths before bed, when you wake up, and during the day helps to calm your mind, boost immune system function, reduce stress, and increase alertness.

5. Try Hydrotherapy

Activate the lymphatic, circulatory, immune, and digestive systems by trying cold water immersion. After your shower, turn the water to the coldest you can take and stand for 30 seconds. Some people are known to alternate between hot and cold water, but for starters, I’d suggest 20-30 seconds. Coldwater immersion stimulates blood flow and boosts health and vitality.

6. Practice Gratitude and Self-Love

By practicing gratitude and grateful living, you are opening yourself to a world of possibility and opportunity. You’ll find that
