JetBlue Becomes First Major Airline To Bring Non-Alcoholic Beer To The Skies
Good news is here for non-alcoholic beer lovers traveling by air. Starting this month, JetBlue will begin offering alcohol-free beer at 35,000 feet. The airline will start offering Athletic Brewing’s award-winning Upside Dawn Golden on all domestic flights. With the announcement, JetBlue becomes the first major U.S. Airline to offer non-alcoholic beer on domestic flights.
With dollar sales increasing by 94%, Athletic Brewing has become the second-largest non-alcoholic beer brand in the United States. Customers will find Athletic Brewing’s Upside Dawn to be a welcome addition to the JetBlue beverage menu.
“In our continued effort to provide customers with an onboard experience customized to their needs and preferences, JetBlue is proud to be the first major U.S. airline to serve non-alcoholic beer,” said Mariya Stoyanova, director of product development of JetBlue in a press release.
“We’re thrilled to partner with industry leader Athletic Brewing to offer our customers the refreshing, balanced taste of a classic craft Golden without the alcohol,” she added.
Upside Dawn Golden
Upside Dawn is a bright and light-bodied brew crafted without gluten. Crisp with floral and earthy notes, it has premium Vienna malt and a combination of English and American hops. Upside Dawn contains just 45 calories and 10 grams of carbohydrates.
This latest announcement is part of JetBlue’s commitment to providing food and beverage offerings for diverse palates.
Launched in 2018, Athletic Brewing developed a proprietary brewing method to craft its award-winning non-alcoholic beers. The company doesn’t rely on any alcohol removal techniques. Athletic Brewing fully ferments its brews to be less than 0.5% ABV, the legal limit for non-alcoholic beer in the U.S.

Even though non-alcoholic beer makes up a small part of the global beer market, more people are choosing them as a healthier alternative. According to GMI Insights, the global non-alcoholic beer market is expected to reach $40 billion by 2032.
