Cam’ron Says NBA YoungBoy Offered $2M To Buy Dame Dash’s Roc-A-Fella Stake

Dame Dash may have passed on a million-dollar opportunity, according to rapper Cam’ron.

On a recent episode of his talk show, “Talk with Flee,” on Revolt, Cam’ron criticized Dame Dash following his appearance on “The Breakfast Club,” and reportedly accused him of “mixing the truth with the lies.” Cam’ron said Dame Dash rejected a $1 million offer from him and fellow rapper Mase to purchase his 33.3% stake in Roc-A-Fella Records after rapper NBA YoungBoy allegedly offered $2 million, Complex reports.

“I’ve never known Dame to be a liar, but the way he was mixing the truth with the lies? Bro, that was really, really disappointing,” Cam’ron said, per Complex. “For instance, just one of the scenarios: He was like, ‘Yo, Cam and Mase, they didn’t really want to buy my third of Roc-A-Fella; they were just doing that to tease [Jay-Z].’”

As previously reported by AFROTECH™, Dame Dash had to sell his Roc-A-Fella stake in 2024 to settle an $800,000 judgment stemming from a copyright and defamation lawsuit, with the State of New York ultimately purchasing the shares for $1 million. While Cam’ron acknowledged that Mase and Dame Dash didn’t always see eye to eye, he said Mase wanted to help Dame Dash cover the debt by acquiring his Roc-A-Fella shares.

“Mase was like, ‘Yo. Nah, bro… We can’t let this n—a go out like that,’” Cam’ron recalled. “So, I call Dame, I say, ‘Yo, Mase wanna help out. We got a million [dollars].’ He’s like, ‘Well, I don’t know because Youngboy NBA called me up [and] he’s got $2 million.’ We like, all right, cool. We just wanted to get [Dame] out of the news for looking bad.”

Meanwhile, Cam’ron said the NBA YoungBoy offer ultimately fell through, prompting Mase to continue reaching out to Dame Dash. However, the Hip-Hop mogul reportedly told them to “just wait on it,” citing another $6 million offer in progress, Complex reports.

“So Mase is like, ‘Bro, you can have a million [dollars] today in your account. Today. Today,’” Cam’ron added.

Weeks later, according to Complex, Dame Dash allegedly called the Dipset rapper back to see if he and Mase were still interested in buying the stake. By then, Cam’ron said they had moved on.

“I said, ‘Dame, Mase ain’t picking up… I don’t think he wants to do it,’” Cam’ron said. “[Dame] tries to use reverse psychology on me and be like, ‘Oh, you got to wait for that n—a to bust a move… You can’t bust your own moves.’ ‘No, I can’t, Dame. I can’t bust my own moves.’ I’m not feeding into that, no. I got $500,000, and Mase got $500,000.’”

Cam’ron explained that their original plan was to buy Dame Dash’s shares and sell them at a 100% profit. That way they could return $1 million to the mogul so “he could have some bread.”

“We weren’t trying to get at Jay-Z… Behind closed doors, we really was trying to give you the money so you could get the f-ck out the news for owing $800,000,” Cam’ron said. “We felt embarrassed for you.”

Reflecting on the situation, Cam’ron said he was relieved the deal didn’t go through, calling it a “bad investment.”

Additionally, other high-profile figures reportedly interested in Dame Dash’s Roc-A-Fella stake included Drake. As AFROTECH™ previously reported, he also made a potential offer for the shares.
