Black Warrior Brewing Co., a longtime Tuscaloosa brewery and taproom, will permanently close its doors after serving the community for 13 years.

The brewery at 2216 University Blvd., announced its closure on Facebook, saying that May 10 will be its last day of business.

The March 30 post reads, in part:

“After 13 incredible years, we’ve made the difficult decision to close the doors of Black Warrior Brewing Company. Our final day will be May 10th.

“This wasn’t an easy decision. Black Warrior has always been more than just a brewery — it’s been a place where friends gathered, where strangers became regulars, and where a simple pint turned into lasting memories,” the post read.

Black Warrior Brewing Co. said that their goal was to create something more than just a business.

“From the very beginning, our goal was to create a place that felt comfortable and welcoming. Thanks to all of you, it became something even better — a true community.”

“We are beyond grateful for every person who walked through our doors, brought their dog, pulled up a stool, and spent time with us over the years,” the post read.

Black Warrior Brewing Co. said the last three days of operation will be a festive farewell.

“We will remain open through May 10th, with a final three-day celebration scheduled for May 8th through May 10th.

“We invite you to join us for one last run as we celebrate 13 years of good beer, good people, and unforgettable moments,” the post read.
