Slutty Vegan Announces New Franchise Deals In Washington, D.C. And Atlanta – AfroTech

Pinky Cole Hayes’ plant-based burger venture is expanding.
Hayes is the founder of Slutty Vegan, which launched in 2018 and has experienced its ebbs and flows. Milestones over the years include operating 14 locations and raising $25 million in Series A funding at a $100 million valuation. The company later closed locations and faced financial challenges, including millions of dollars in corporate overhead.
Ultimately, the venture underwent restructuring in February 2025, resulting in Hayes temporarily losing ownership of the company, as AFROTECH™ previously reported. She later bought back the company under the name Ain’t Nobody Coming to See You, Otis LLC.
“People love Slutty Vegan because they love me, and I used to not tap into that, but I 1780526758 know I have a superpower with people,” Hayes explained, according to People. “People love me, so I know that people are going to support and back me in whatever it is that I authentically do.”
In the latest update on Slutty Vegan, franchising agreements have been signed to expand the brand to Washington, D.C., and Atlanta, GA, where its first location opened. The franchise owners in Atlanta are Khadejah Davis and Jamel Douglas, who are multi-unit franchise owners of a Jamaican food chain called Juici Patties, according to a press release. Brandi Forte, who brings decades of franchising expertise, will lead franchising efforts in D.C.
“Atlanta is where Slutty Vegan was born, and we’re planting deeper roots here while establishing our presence in D.C.,” said Hayes, according to the release. “I was intentional about partnering with operators who understand our business and the culture because this is bigger than the burgers. We’re creating opportunity, legacy and proving what’s possible when you never give up.”
Slutty Vegan also has locations in New York City, Baltimore, Birmingham, Alabama, and Brandon, Fla., according to 11Alive.
