Dance Theatre Of Harlem Names Jaime Wynn, President Of Jimmy Choo Americas, To Board Of Directors

Dance Theatre of Harlem, the professional ballet company and school based in New York City, has named Jaime Wynn, president of Jimmy Choo Americas, to its board of directors, the company announced.

According to a press release, Wynn brings more than 25 years of experience in luxury fashion, business transformation, and brand growth. She has held senior roles at LVMH, leading global planning at Marc Jacobs, and at The Jones Group, where she helped scale Ralph Lauren’s licensed business and launched a $550 million private-label brand.

Since 2021, Wynn has served as president of Jimmy Choo, per LinkedIn, guiding the brand’s evolution into a lifestyle fashion house with a focus on market leadership, omnichannel expansion, and operational innovation. She first joined the company in 2016 as vice president of sales & planning.

Her appointment comes at a pivotal moment for Dance Theatre of Harlem, as the company, led by executive director Anna Glass and artistic director Robert Garland, prepares to present a first look at its signature work, “Firebird,” remounted at the Detroit Opera House this November, per the release. The production marks the first performance of the piece in 20 years.

“Dance Theatre of Harlem has long stood as a beacon of artistic excellence and Black cultural brilliance,” Wynn said in a statement.

“To be invited into this legacy is profoundly meaningful to me — not just as a lover of the arts, but as someone who believes in the power of creative institutions to elevate voices, build community, and drive generational change. I am honored to join the board at such a dynamic moment in DTH’s journey.”

Chairman of the board Ackneil M. Muldrow III said Wynn’s experience aligns perfectly with the company’s mission.

“Her unwavering commitment to purpose-driven leadership and closing equity gaps deeply aligns with DTH’s mission to inspire through excellence. We look forward to working alongside Jaime as we continue to shape the future of this historic institution,” he said.

In addition to her corporate achievements, Wynn is active in diversity and inclusion initiatives. According to the release, she serves as executive sponsor for BOLD (Black Organizers, Leaders and Doers) at Capri Holdings and is a member of the Executive Leadership Council and Black Women on Boards. Wynn also serves on the board of the Food Bank for New York City and was named the 2024 Alum of the Year by Berkeley College.
