If you were wondering if the two-time convicted felon, also known as the President of the United States, was proud of his arrest record, well look no further than right outside of the Oval Office as it appears that someone in the Trump camp has hung the president’s mugshot on the wall.
Yep, you’ve read this correctly: the leader of the free world has a photo of his mugshot lining the halls of the White House. We know this because last week, during a meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the White House, a photo of the event showed the 2023 arrest photo in the background.
Part of the reason that Trump ran for office again was to prolong and possibly stop the obvious: that his scamming ass was going to jail. OK, fine, I don’t know that. No one knows that, but the Georgia election fraud case is in limbo after Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and her people were taken off the case.
After learning that Willis had a personal relationship with Nathan Wade, a special prosecutor she had appointed to the case, the court cited “appearance of impropriety.” And would you look at that, the Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council of Georgia have not bothered to assign a new prosecutor to the case.
As it stands, four co-defendants named in the same case have already accepted plea deals.
The liar-in-office convinced himself, and the red voting public, that he was unfairly prosecuted and turned his mugshot photo into some defiant act and a possible album cover photo. Fine, I don’t know if he’s ever going to drop “Waltzin’ on Dem Opps,” but we can dream.
I do know that a scammer stay scamming, so Trump used the mugshot photo to sell T-shirts, claiming that the money was going to help “free the boy.” But Big Tang (as they call him in the streets) never went to jail.
And in case you were wondering, Trump is the first sitting American president to have a mugshot displayed in the West Wing, as America continues its descent into hell.
