When bidding officially closed, it was revealed that the Air Jordan 13 “Bred” sold for about $2.2 million at Sotheby’s, according to its website. This marks the most expensive pair of sneakers ever sold at auction, shattering Jordan’s own record.
The original Nike Air Ship shoes, also worn by Michael Jordan in 1984, previously held the record as they went for $1.47 million in 2021.
