The 2023 NHL playoffs begin on Monday, as the first-round series kick off to start the postseason.

The field of 16 is set, with eight teams from each conference looking to fight for the Stanley Cup.

There are plenty of intriguing storylines surrounding the first round. After such a dominant regular season, can the Bruins avoid the fate of the 2019 Lightning? Can the Kraken play spoiler to the Avalanche’s chances at a repeat? Is this finally the year the Maple Leafs win a playoff series?
