Popular Twitch Streamer, Raud, Credits Wallo267 For Showing Him How To Treat Sponsors And Navigate Deals

Raud is sharing his secret to success in the streaming world.
The Philadelphia native, who has more than 2 million followers across his social platforms, is in his sixth year of content creation and fourth year of streaming, as he mentioned on the “Black Tech Green Money” podcast hosted by AFROTECH™ Brand Manager Will Lucas. Born Cheraud Brown, Raud started on YouTube and has garnered 559,000 subscribers across 1,512 videos on two channels through the platform. In 2021, he joined Twitch, during a time that he described to Lucas as the final year of the “desktop era.”
“Anybody who knows 2K, it’s different builds, it’s different archetypes, it’s different attributes that certain streamers are good at. A lot of streamers are not good at click-and-start and not having no plan,” Raud said on the podcast.
“I’m really good at that because before, where streaming’s at right now, the bigger streamers got it to a point where people feel like you got to put on the biggest shelf, but stream wasn’t always like this… Now we got stuff like IRL and that’s when we moving around and we creating a show on the go. So a ‘pure streamer’ is really good at desktop sitting there and being able to talk to his community and entertain them without all the extra stuff,” Raud continued.
Securing First Endorsement Deal For $1M
Raud also emphasized the importance of consistency, fueled by his mindset of not streaming solely for the money.
There was a time in his journey when he was not receiving endorsement deals despite his massive following. While he was “dodging” offers due to misalignment, Shopify offered him his first endorsement deal, giving him $1 million to share with his supporters.
“Once you show a company like, ‘Hey, this is what I could do for you and these are my numbers’ — and a lot of times they’re not looking for us. So you’ve got to go to the face and say, ‘Yo, this is what it is.’”
Raud adds that creating a deck has also helped him put his best foot forward for endorsements. Wallace Peeples, otherwise known as Wallo267, a co-host on the “Million Dollaz Worth of Game” podcast, also showed him how to treat sponsors.
“You thank your sponsors overly, you overly thank your sponsors, and I got a lot of the knowledge on how to treat your sponsors and show them that love and get into a new deal and re-up with them from my man’s Wallo,” Raud recalled. “So shout out, Wallo.”
Lessons From Streamer University
It’s been quite the year for Raud. This year, he hosted a Twitch subathon in the American Dream Mall, which was intended to last 30 days. Special guests included Lil Yachty and Meek Mill. However, Raud was kicked out of the mall before the subathon could reach its finish line. He did walk away with over 30,000 new subscribers on the platform, placing him among the top 10 most-followed streamers, according to information shared with AFROTECH™.
He was also among the content creators chosen to participate in Kai Cenat’s Streamer University. Held over a weekend at the University of Akron in Ohio, the program was designed to educate creators and serve as a breeding ground for content creation and networking, as AFROTECH™ previously reported.

Raud said on “Black Tech Green Money” that he felt inspired by his time at Streamer University and describes Cenat as a “genius.” The experienced pushed him to find new ways to deliver quality content, consistently.
“You shouldn’t be looking at the same numbers for a couple months. You should stop and up that quality. So ‘turn it up.’ I just mean like, ‘OK I see the scale of which he doing things. Let me up my scale. Let’s not sit in a room and do bullsh-t. Let’s get creative. Everything hasn’t been done, and if it has been done, I’m going to study it and I’m going to repurpose it,’” he acknowledged.
