Revolt CEO Shakes Off Diddy Baggage, Restructures And Re-Brands Company As Offscript Worldwide

Revolt is turning a new page. Under CEO Detavio Samuels, the Black-owned media company has restructured and rebranded as Offscript Worldwide, shifting away from its origins as a cable-focused brand and toward a creator-driven, commerce-integrated media powerhouse.
The change, according to Samuels, is the culmination of a multi-year strategy aimed at reimagining how brands perceive and partner with the company. “I have to transform the way that brands see us,” he explained. “There’s a lot of brands that think we’re just Revolt—no, we’re a collection of brands.”
Offscript is now the parent company to Revolt, Revolt Sports, in-house creative agency Six Zeros, and Gen Z-targeted outlet Rap-Up. It also owns 440 Artists, a music and artist development label, and Rebel House, a creator incubator and content support hub, according to Variety.
Samuels stressed , “Creator media is more relevant than traditional media.”
This transformation is happening just ahead of the 2025 upfront season, where media companies pitch advertisers for long-term deals, Ad Age reports.
Samuels denies that founder Sean “Diddy” Combs’ legal troubles drove the rebrand. Combs, who founded Revolt in 2012, no longer has a stake in the company after selling his shares in 2024 amid serious criminal charges. Samuels is now fully in charge.
Offscript remains employee-owned, with Samuels stressing his commitment to building wealth for staffers through equity. Offscript plans acquisitions, including in the gaming space, and aims to scale its influence by investing in subcultures and creators.
“We’re not building this thing for what media was,” Samuels said. “We’re headed for a world where creators and culture drive everything—and Offscript is ready for that future.”
