Several candidates running for the U.S. Congressional seat in South Carolina’s Sixth District have agreed to participate in this community forum. This event will serve as an opportunity for residents to hear directly from the candidates regarding their stances on important issues affecting the district and the state as a whole. The invited candidates include:
- Michael Simpson
- Gregg Marcel Dixon
- Duke Buckner
- Joseph Oddo
- U.S. House Representative James Clyburn
During the forum, each candidate will present their vision for the district, followed by a moderated question-and-answer session. This will allow community members to engage with the candidates on a variety of topics, including economic development, healthcare, education, and public safety.
“It is crucial that voters have the opportunity to hear from all candidates, regardless of their party or platform,” said a community representative. “In today’s climate, promoting fairness and civility is essential, and this forum underscores the importance of a healthy democracy where every voice can be heard.”
