Teyana Taylor Wows in Thom Browne at 2025 CFDA Fashion Awards: ‘Very, Very Excited’ (Exclusiv)

Teyana Taylor is making an entrance.

The actress and singer, 34, arrived to the 2025 CFDA Fashion Awards in a show-stopping look, telling PEOPLE exclusively that she’s wearing custom, “head-to-toe Thom Browne” when speaking on the red carpet on Monday, Nov. 3.

“We came together to put this lovely look together, so I’m very very excited,” added Taylor, who’s host of the event held at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City this year.

For her look, the All’s Fair star wore a white, structured jacket with oversize sleeves and a cinched waist. It featured a high collar, and left only a few buttons undone from the neck downward.

She matched her statement-making top with a form-fitting black skirt that skimmed the ground. It was detailed with silver, chain-like embellishments that draped down from her hip past her knees to match the jewel embellishment on her jacket. She completed her look with an asymmetric, black hat adorned with feathery details on the lid.

The event, taking place at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City, is put on by the Council of Fashion Designers of America and gathers American designers, brands and organizations from across the American Fashion Industry, as well as international brands.

Taylor serves as host alongside a slew of presenters including Addison Rae, Anna Wintour, Julianne Moore, Leslie Bibb, Naomi Campbell and Thom Browne.

Taylor currently stars in All’s Fair, Ryan Murphy’s new Hulu legal drama premiering Nov. 4. The star-studded cast also includes Kim Kardashian, Glenn Close, Niecy Nash-Betts, Naomi Watts and Sarah Paulson.

She also appears in Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another, in theaters now, featuring Leonardo DiCaprio, Regina Hall and Benicio del Toro,

During a chat with The New York Times alongside some of their One Battle After Another costars published Monday, Sept. 8, Taylor and DiCaprio, 50, reflected on their longtime friendship, with the Titanic star saying how she was selected for the role.

“Paul and I were talking about who would play this lightning rod of a character that was a radical but also somebody that was able to manipulate,” DiCaprio shared. “The echoes of her character reverberate throughout the entire movie, and every character is emotionally scarred by Perfidia.”

“So we knew we needed to get somebody that could be not only bold and outspoken, but bring that improvisational talent of truth in the moment,” the Oscar winner added, noting that Taylor kept coming up in conversation.

Taylor then revealed that she and DiCaprio’ “instantly became best buds” after meeting at Diana Ross’s birthday party “some years back.”

“That’s my wingman, my partner in crime!” the musician-actress said.
