Unrivaled’s Second Season Raked In $45M In Revenue And Reached Over 1.2B Fans Digitally With Samsung As Its Official Technology And Presenting Partner – AfroTech

Unrivaled’s second season was a slam dunk.
The 3-on-3 league was co-founded by WNBA stars Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart in 2023 and has attracted talent, including Kelsey Mitchell, Erica Wheeler, Angel Reese, Aliyah Boston, Paige Bueckers, and Chelsea Gray, per the league’s website.
In February, Gray won the league’s 2026 1-on-1 Tournament, which carried a coveted $200,000 cash prize, according to a press release.
Unrivaled entered its second season on Jan. 5. The league has eight teams, and 56 regular-season games were played before the Unrivaled Playoffs, presented by Samsung Galaxy, began on Saturday, Feb. 28, according to information shared with AFROTECH™.

The Unrivaled Championship was held Wednesday, March 4, and ended with a victory for the Mist BC team, which faced team Phantom BC, according to USA Today. Breanna Stewart was named MVP after scoring 32 points. The game drew 314,000 viewers on TNT, making it Unrivaled’s third-most-watched broadcast, notes the outlet.
“We’re really proud of the success that we’ve had from year one to year two … We’re proud of the product that we’ve been able to create,” Stewart said, according to USA Today. “Know that we just want to continue to build a space that’s growing and evolving for women’s professional basketball players.”
Unrivaled’s success since its inception includes a $28 million Series A round in 2024, followed by an oversubscribed Series B investment round in 2025 that brought its valuation to $340 million, as AFROTECH™ previously reported. Investors include Serena Williams’ Serena Ventures, Warner Bros. Discovery, Alex Morgan’s Trybe Ventures, and more.
For the 2026 season, the league sold 249% more tickets than during its inaugural season, according to a press release. It generated $45 million in revenue, with ticket sales revenue soaring 204% year over year. Additionally, it reached more than 1.2 billion fans across digital platforms such as Instagram, X and Facebook. It also recorded sold-out crowds in Philadelphia and New York, notes the release.
Unrivaled has also been heavily supported by a slew of partners, including Samsung Galaxy, its official technology and presenting partner. According to information shared with AFROTECH™, the partnership has led to the establishment of the Samsung Rest Club, described as a “best-in-class recovery facility,” which is available to players throughout the season. Players can benefit from specialized massage treatment and a hyperbaric oxygen chamber to help monitor oxygen levels.

The partnership also offers players Samsung tech, including Galaxy XR, Galaxy Tablets, and Galaxy Buds — which offer mental wellness content in partnership with mental health app, Calm — as well as wearables that monitor heart rate, blood oxygen levels, movement and activity patterns, among other perks.
