Black Star Farms receives 2025 Business of the Year Award from Leelanau Chamber – 9&10 News

SUTTONS BAY — Black Star Farms has been named the 2025 Business of the Year by the Leelanau Chamber of Commerce.
Per an Oct. 30 news release, the award recognizes businesses that demonstrate community contributions, innovation, professional development opportunities, and excellence in guest services.

“The Black Star Farms family is honored to receive this award,” said Managing Owner Sherri Campbell Fenton. “Having been part of the community for nearly 28 years, we have embraced continuous growth and innovation — earning recognition and awards along the way. From international wine accolades to honors for our wine country inn, our focus remains on ongoing improvement and delivering exceptional customer experiences.”
Founded in Suttons Bay, Black Star Farms operates two locations in Northern Michigan — its flagship estate near Suttons Bay and another tasting room on Old Mission Peninsula. Both have earned international acclaim for their wines and hospitality experiences.
The Inn at Black Star Farms, recognized by USA Today Readers’ Choice as the 2025 Best Wine Country Inn, is a Select Registry “Distinguished Inn of North America” destination offering guest stays, weddings, retreats, and farm-to-fork dining through its on-site restaurant, Bistro Polaris.
