For many, Thanksgiving is a time to spend with friends, family and good food. But maybe there’s a key ingredient you forgot for Thanksgiving. Or maybe you need to buy an extra pie or some more wine.

And the day after — Black Friday — has traditionally marked the start of the holiday shopping season. Many stores, malls and businesses are closed on Thanksgiving, but are back open for business the day after.

To encourage extra shopping on Black Friday, many of these stores and retail venues open several hours earlier and close several hours later than on a typical week day.

If you need to get some groceries, do some errands or get some holiday shopping done, we broke down the hours for businesses across North Jersey, including the malls, other retail stores and more.
