a project around entheogens- Alchimia Grow Shop
The Red Micelio Federation is an organization dedicated to building connections and promoting the responsible, ethical, and safe use of entheogens in various contexts. Focused on values such as cooperation, respect, and dignity, this network fosters dialogue between communities, professionals, and researchers interested in these substances’ therapeutic, cultural,l and social potential. Through initiatives that include the defense of human rights, legal advice,e and the generation of good practices, Red Micelio positions itself as a reference for the construction of a more inclusive and conscious vision of entheogens.
Today we invite you to learn more about this organization and discover its objectives, which, as you will see, are based on respect, knowledge, and, as we have already mentioned, responsible and safe use of this type of psychoactive substances, whether we are talking about recreational or playful scenes, therapeutic contexts or contexts of personal and spiritual growth.
A change in perception about entheogens
Entheogens are ancient tools of personal knowledge, used in ceremonies, therapies, and congregations in search of oneself and what surrounds oneself. As has been said, they are tools that have accompanied man since time immemorial to the point where theories such as the “drugged monkey” have been created, which we invite you to read. Despite the evidence that exists regarding the positive use of these substances, there is currently a strong persecution against them, making it practically impossible to obtain them legally or medically.
In response, small organizations have been created that advocate for the conservation and maintenance of this sacred and ancient wisdom, carrying out personal knowledge therapies, awareness talks, etc., not without opposition to current laws and the politicians who maintain them.
The stoned ape theory: evolution and psilocybin
Do you know the stoned ape theory? Do you think that the consumption of substances such as psilocybin could have changed the evolution of the brain and the cognitive processes of our hominid ancestors? Today we are going to investigate this interesting theory, we will see where it comes from and how it has been received by the scientific community. Will you join us?
Mycelio Network Federation: A response to the inactivity of institutions
Aware of the huge problem caused by these laws, on October 10th a group of representatives of entities in the field presented great news for the sector of entities that work with entheogens: the Mycelium Network Federation (FERM). This project aims to become a meeting point between entities dedicated to the study and work with entheogens, contributing to the end of policies based on prohibition, ignorance, and stigma. This goal is only achieved by promoting meetings, training, activities, and support for entities associated with FERM, all integrated with a comprehensive vision that promotes safety, responsibility, and respect for them.
Due to the strong prohibition on entheogens, and, as a result, the therapies and training in which they are used, it has not been possible to create a strong and functional network between the different actors who promote and use them. This is the point that the Red Micelio Federation will try to replace. The main objective is to be the connector between all the entities harmed by prohibitionist laws, in addition to generating ethical codes and supporting them.
How does Red Micelio help partner organizations?
Red Micelio tries to help its associated organizations by:
- The promotion of good practices, generating an ethical code and self-regulation models to guarantee the safety and ethics of the use of entheogens.
- Support political representation and the defense of human rights.
- Legal advice to associated entities to ensure that they are properly informed and protected for the proper functioning of the activities they carry out.
- Promoting collaboration between partner entities through activities, meetings and training, thus promoting the exchange of knowledge and resources.
- Defending the right to health and personal self-determination, advocating for free choice in treatments and promoting the physical and mental well-being of those who work with entheogens.
- Defend recognition, dignity, and social justice for people and groups linked to entheogens.
- Support and guidance for people who have suffered abuse in the context of entheogen-related practices, including abuse of power, economic abuse, and sexual abuse.
Introduction to microdosing psilocybin
As we mentioned in our article on psilocybin and its effects, the use of this substance in various therapies is becoming more common, especially in the form of microdoses. Today we offer you a brief but succinct guide on psilocybin microdosing: what it is, how it works, and what are the recommended doses, are only some of the topics we will be discussing below.
The objective of Red Micelio
Promoting good practices and establishing a sound ethical framework for the use of entheogens is essential to improve their social perception and thus achieve greater acceptance, also by public administrations. An ethical code and self-regulation models can guarantee safety and responsibility in their use, strengthening public trust. At the same time, supporting political representation and human rights ensures the recognition of those who work with these substances, defending personal self-determination and the right to health.
Legal advice for those entities involved in this context is key to ensuring regulatory compliance and protecting their activities. Likewise, fostering synergies between these organizations in very diverse ways enriches the exchange of knowledge and resources, consolidating an informed community with solid ethical principles.
Furthermore, the movement advocates for social justice and dignity for people involved with entheogens, providing support to those who have suffered any type of abuse in the various areas of related practices. Together, these measures not only promote physical and mental well-being but also pave the way for a broader, ethical, and conscious acceptance of entheogens in society, providing tools to all people involved with them to carry out their activity in a dignified and safe manner.
