Anthony Edwards Joins Karma Automotive’s Ownership Program Alongside Other Notable Athletes – AfroTech

Karma Automotive has launched an ownership program, inviting a star-studded roster of current and former athletes, including NBA player Anthony Edwards.
According to a press release, the company has unveiled Karma Nexus, described as an “exclusive client engagement and ownership program.” Participants will benefit from priority access to its vehicles and events, access to Karma’s design studio and engineering teams, and bespoke vehicle commissioning, such as for the Karma Invictus and Karma Eximius.
“Karma’s goal is for our products and experiences to reflect the successes of our Nexus members in ways that are as unique and distinctive as they are, and Karma Nexus represents the next level of that investment dynamic,” said Marques McCammon, president. “The fact that so many influential names are among the program’s founding members is exciting….”
In addition, the program provides investment opportunities in Karma Automotive through an initiative led by McCammon, in partnership with Kai Cunningham, co-founder and CEO of Limited Ventures. Cunningham works with athletes and entertainers looking to deploy their capital in diverse ways and build their brand outside of mainstream media.
Among the first cohort of Karma Nexus members joining Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves are his business manager Justin Holland; Kyler Murray of the Minnesota Vikings; Bryce Young of the Carolina Panthers; Dylan Harper of the San Antonio Spurs; Dylan’s brother, Ron Harper Jr. of the Boston Celtics; former seven-time NBA All-Star Tracy McGrady; and former NBA player and CEO of private equity firm LandSpire Group, Josh Childress.
“We’ve never followed the wave. For us, it’s always about standing out and doing things differently, and that feels perfectly aligned with Karma’s vision,” said Edwards and Holland, in the press release. “We’re very selective about who we choose to partner with, and we couldn’t be more excited to be Karma investors. This is a product and a team we truly believe in.”
McGrady commented:
“I’ve spent my life betting on greatness — in myself, in my teammates, and now in the future of innovation. Karma stood out to me because they’re thinking bigger than just building cars. They’re building culture, technology, and a luxury experience that feels differentiated in a crowded space. I’m excited to be involved not just as an investor, but as someone helping expand the vision and global reach of the brand.”
According to the release, Karma Nexus will continue expanding its invitation-only membership program with more individuals announced in the future.
