Black Cat Syndicate extends Paulsens gold project

Australian gold miner Black Cat Syndicate has increased the size of its Paulsens gold project tenure by 460km² 3,650km² through tenement pegging and acquisitions.

The acquisition will expand the Big Sarah prospect within the Paulsens gold operation.

The tenements will expand Black Cat Syndicate’s holdings to 2,722km² within the Barring Downs and Nanjilgardy fault zones, establishing a key strategic presence surrounding the Big Sarah area, noted for its high potential.

The expansion includes the acquisition of the Cheela and Silent Sisters tenements and the pegging of the New Morning prospect.

Black Cat managing director Gareth Solly stated: “Big Sarah is set to get bigger, and we are excited to be adding to our prospective tenure with three new tenements straddling known gold-bearing structures.”

The Cheela tenement (E08/3272) will be acquired from Cazaly Resources for A$200,000 ($130,625), comprising A$150,000 in cash and A$50,000 in Black Cat shares, priced at A$0.807 each.

Cheela hosts the New Dawn prospect, featuring a significant gold-in-soil anomaly and high-grade rock chips with copper values up to 32.32%.

Adjacent to Cheela, the Silent Sisters tenement (E08/3163) will be acquired from Deep 8 Mining for A$170,000. This area is known for historical lead and silver production and is in a similar geological setting to the Mt Clement antimony deposit.

Despite this, modern exploration has been limited, particularly for antimony, despite the presence of lead and silver mineralisation.

Black Cat also pegged the New Morning prospect (E08/3808), which is immediately adjacent to Cheela’s copper anomaly. Historical exploration at New Morning identified a gold-in-soil geochemical anomaly.

The completion of these acquisitions is subject to standard statutory approvals and the assignment of third-party agreements.

Black Cat has completed reconnaissance surface sampling at the Big Sarah prospect. It identified a 4km-long zone of gold-bearing quartz veining within the Central Vein Corridor.

The company is finalising drill plans for the September 2025 quarter, targeting three distinct laterally extensive vein corridors extending 15km in strike and up to 100m in width, identified through sampling and historical data.
