“The wait is over,” Bun B says, celebrating the grand opening of his latest Trill Burgers location.
As AFROTECH™ previously reported, Trill Burgers was co-founded by the UKG rapper (CEO and chief burger officer), Andy Nguyen (creative director), Nick Scurfield (chief marketing officer), and chefs Mike Pham (chief operating officer) and Fernando Valladares (executive chef).
Its signature item is its smash burger, made with thin patties of 44 Farms Texas beef, caramelized onions, pickles, and Trill Sauce on a Martin’s potato bun, according to its website. The menu additionally includes a plant-based smash burger with lemonades and fries also available.
New Locations
The first storefront opened in Houston’s Montrose neighborhood on June 7, 2023. It has also maintained a presence at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and expanded to Spring, TX, and Missouri City, TX, with a location at Rice University as of August 2026. The Rice location in Houston marked a full-circle moment for Bun B, who previously served as a distinguished visiting lecturer at Rice University’s Center for Engaged Research and Collaborative Learning, according to a press release from the university.
Now its newest Houston location, a 3,100-square-foot restaurant with seating for 70 and a drive-thru, is open at 7616 Westheimer Road, Click2Houston reports. This marks the fourth Trill Burgers location, Bun B confirmed in a video shared on Instagram.
“Every time we open a new location of Trill Burgers, it’s such an incredible feeling for our entire team,” Bun B said, according to Click2Houston. “We are so grateful to the city of Houston for embracing Trill Burgers the way that it has. Our guests continue to show us love and support, and we promise to always deliver that Trill Burgers quality that customers know to expect. Having a location on another iconic Houston road is truly surreal. We can’t wait to welcome y’all to Westheimer.”
