Dr. Silvia Bautista Morrobel Now Owns The Dental Practice She Previously Worked At In The Past – AfroTech
Dr. Silvia Bautista Morrobel returned to a dental practice where she once worked, except this time, to become its owner.
The first-generation student is a proud graduate of Marquette University School of Dentistry. Before attending the university, she double-majored in biology (pre-dentistry) and Spanish, and minored in chemistry, on a full-ride scholarship at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point where she received her bachelor’s, according to her LinkedIn profile.
Carvd N Stone reports Morrobel graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2017. This marked a full-circle moment for her as she received orthodontic treatment from the Marquette School of Dentistry when she was 12 years old.
“I was inspired by my Orthodontist at the time and told her that when I grew up, I wanted to be just like her. 9 years later, at the age of 21, I received my acceptance letter to that very same school I was treated at,” she wrote on her LinkedIn page.
Morrobel is now a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) and Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD). According to her LinkedIn, she specializes in comprehensive dental care, family dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, and orthodontics. Early in her profession, she worked as an associate doctor at Aspen Dental in Brookfield, WI, but left when she became pregnant, per Carvd N Stone. She worked at five dental clinics but preferred her experience at Aspen Dental so she returned in July 2020, taking on a new role as lead doctor.
“I am very proud of where I am in life [and] I love that my patients can relate to me,” she said, per Carvd N Stone.
Within three years, Morrobel had equity in the dental practice. Then she took on 50% ownership in the business and now has full ownership. Under her leadership, she has carefully selected 10 employees to ensure patients receive quality, personalized care, according to the outlet. She is also committed to ensuring her practice is up to date with state-of-the-art technology.
“Leadership is not easy. I had to learn how to lead,” she told the outlet.
Aspen Dental offers dental check-ups, teeth cleanings, fillings, extractions, dentures, dental implants, root canals, emergency dental care, and cosmetic dentistry services, including teeth whitening and veneers. Additionally, it specializes in services that include wisdom tooth removal, endodontic treatment, teeth straightening, and oral surgery, per its website.
“My approach goes beyond just clinical expertise; I’m committed to staying current with the latest advancements in dentistry and incorporating the best practices into my work,” Morrobel said on LinkedIn.
