Here’s Jay-Z’s Stance On AI And Why He’s Urging Fans To Question The Technology – AfroTech

Jay-Z shared a warning about AI during his Los Angeles concert.

The rapper concluded his JAŸ-Z 30 Tour at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. He played two consecutive shows during the weekend, Oct. 23-24, with special guests including Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, both of whom he had praised in a 2026 interview with The New York Times, according to Vice.

“Dr. Dre, I grew up obviously a fan of him and Snoop,” Jay-Z said when talking about writing their parts on the iconic collaboration “Still D.R.E.” “You know, this is Dr. Dre coming off [of] leaving Death Row. I knew where he was trying to go ‘cause I’ve been there a couple times with ‘Kingdom Come’ and those things. So, he’s trying to [say], ‘I’m leaving this place, and I want to mature.’”

Jay-Z Cautions Audience About AI

At the end of the sold-out show, during which he performed hits such as “Hard Knock Life” and “On to the Next One,” he urged the audience to stay vigilant against misinformation, referring to online rumors about whether or not he was finding success on the West Coast. He pointed to AI as a tool that can make deception harder to spot, according to another report by Vice.

“You gotta be very aware of what’s going on in the world,” Jay-Z explained, per the outlet. “People will tell you that nobody was in here tonight, but you got eyes. You can see. People will tell you that the music wasn’t great, but you got ears. You gotta understand, you gotta question everything. This world with AI and everything, it’s been going on forever. They called it propaganda before. But now, the technology has caught up and people are tricked. A lot of tricknology for us… Make sure you question everything you feel.”

He continued, “You need to learn the you. You tell ’em your swag, you tell ’em your name — they can’t be you. Could never be you. Question everything, especially in this day and age. They will tell you Jigga ain’t Jigga. Hov is mothaf**kin’ Hov!”
