Indiana Black Expo’s youth series equips students with business skills – Indianapolis News | Indiana Weather | Indiana Traffic

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Sixty middle and high school students participated Tuesday in the Indiana Black Expo Youth Entrepreneur Series, where they learned about starting and building their own businesses.
The event featured workshops led by five different entrepreneurs, providing students with insights into what it takes to launch and grow a business.
Ananza Williams, an intern at Indiana Black Expo, said “There are so many people here that want to help you and you don’t get that every day. It’s great that different adults and different organizations and different parents brought their kids here and understood the importance and understood how this is gonna make a difference in their child’s life.”
The IBX Youth Entrepreneur Series will continue on Wednesday at the Indiana Convention Center in downtown Indianapolis. Students will have the opportunity to pitch their business ideas to a panel of judges for feedback.
WISHTV.com first reported on the event on Sunday.
The series is part of the expo’s Summer Celebration, which continues through Sunday.
