Kevin Hart Joins The Beyoncé And Jay-Z As One Of The Highest-Grossinh Black Touring Acts In History – AfroTech
All roads lead back to comedy for Kevin Hart.
Hart is a comedian who has expanded his business ventures beyond comedy shows. He currently has an R-rated comedy film streaming on Netflix called “72 Hours,” produced in partnership with Sony, Davis Entertainment, Counterbalance Entertainment, Will Packer, and Hart’s own studio, Hartbeat, according to What’s On Netflix.
“72 Hours” features Marcello Hernández, Mason Gooding, Kam Patterson, and Ben Marshall all sharing screen time with Hart. Supporting the next generation of comedians is important for Hart.
“At this point in my career, it’s all about the next wave. It’s all about whether you are comedians, comedic actors, whether you are writers, whether you are streamers, influencers, like it’s all about saying, ‘All right, I get it all. How can I help,’” Hart said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
Hart now has several projects with Netflix, including “Lift,” “Me Time,” “The Man From Toronto,” “Fatherhood” and a celebrity comedy roast, Variety reported. Beyond streaming, Hart has also found success at the box office, with his films grossing more than $4 billion, as AFROTECH™ previously reported.
Hart is also faring well in the spirits industry. His tequila brand, Gran Coramino, has generated $200 million in total retail sales, per a separate AFROTECH™ story. He is also investing in other businesses through his venture capital firm, Hartbeat Ventures.
Additionally, Hart continues to perform stand-up comedy. He has reportedly generated more than $300 million from 3.6 million comedy tours.
“It’s time to get some new material together…. I’m getting the comedy bug again ….. I’m about to get in the kitchen and start cooking damn it!!!!!! It’s time to get back to work,” Hart expressed on Instagram.
The feat reportedly places Kevin Hart in good company. He joins The Weeknd, Beyoncé, and Jay-Z as one of the highest-grossing Black touring acts in history, according to Pollstar.
