L’Oréal Promotes Rahquel Purcell To Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer For North America – AfroTech
Rahquel Purcell has been promoted at L’Oréal.
The finance graduate began her career at Procter & Gamble, where she worked for 23 years and held several leadership roles before her final post as director of global packaging purchases, according to her LinkedIn.
She has spent more than 10 years at L’Oréal USA and serves on L’Oréal USA’s management committee and the global DE&I leadership team. She has held several senior operations and supply chain leadership positions, and in 2022 became L’Oréal North America’s first chief transformation officer.
Purcell is now being promoted, effective immediately, to chief diversity, equity, and inclusion officer for North America, according to a press release. She succeeds Liliahn Majeed and will report directly to L’Oréal USA CEO and President of North America Alexis Perakis-Valat.
In her role, she will oversee workforce practices and empower brands working with diverse communities, according to Global Cosmetics News.
