Megan Thee Stallion Partners With Interscope Records For Global Distribution Deal — Here’s What It Entails – AfroTech



Megan Thee Stallion is cheering for new beginnings.

The Houston-born artist has been teasing her third act, this time in partnership with Interscope Records. According to a press release, she signed a deal that will provide global distribution and strategic support for her upcoming music, which will still be released through her independent music and entertainment company, Hot Girl Productions.

Megan Thee Stallion has maintained ownership of her masters and publishing, and this will continue under the new deal. The partnership allows Megan Thee Stallion to preserve her “creative vision,” expand her global fan base, and continue building her legacy, she noted in the press release.

“Hotties I signed a distribution partnership with @interscope !!!!,” she wrote on Instagram. “Owning my masters & publishing and maintaining my independence as an artist is always my priority! Everything I’ve built has been about trusting my vision, owning my power, and never putting a ceiling on how far I can go. And now? We going HIGHER. I can’t wait for this next chapter with my new Interscope family!! I’m forever grateful!!! ACT III IS ON THEE WAY HOTTIES!!”

The artist will also continue her relationship under the management of Roc Nation, which started in 2019. CEO Desiree Perez added the company will collaborate with Interscope’s team and leverage its global resources to “further elevate this new era of her career.”
