Miss Chief Threads named official vendor for Black Country Chamber Business Awards 2025
This exciting collaboration celebrates the spirit of innovation, community, and bold creativity that defines the Black Country.
Miss Chief Threads, founded by entrepreneur Carolyn Smith—also the founder of TPSquared, the double award-winning branding and marketing agency recognised as Small Business of the Year and for Consultancy and Professional Services at the 2024 Black Country Chamber Business Awards—will bring its signature style and purpose-driven apparel to the region’s most anticipated business event of the year.
The partnership was born from the success of Miss Chief Threads’ debut collection, Bostin’, launched in July to mark Black Country Day. The range, which celebrates the region’s dialect and identity, quickly captured hearts across Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall, and Wolverhampton. With slogans like “Bostin’ Bab”, “Bostin’ Boss Woman” and “Bostin’ Black Country Beaut” the collection is stitched together with pride and heritage in a way that resonated deeply with local communities and business alike.
Carolyn, who moved to the Black Country in 2005, said: “The dialect really struck a chord with me when I moved to Darlaston from North Wales. Words like ‘Bostin’ and ‘Bab’ aren’t just quirky, they’re powerful cultural markers and are used in everyday conversation here. I wanted to create something that celebrates that identity and gives people a way to wear their pride on their sleeves – literally.”
Following the launch, the Chamber recognised a strong alignment between Miss Chief Threads’ values and its own commitment to celebrating innovation, community and regional pride. The decision to appoint Miss Chief Threads as the official merchandise vendor was a natural progression, bringing together two organisations dedicated to amplifying bold voices and driving meaningful impact and change across the Black Country.

A special, limited-edition tee designed in support of the Chamber’s Charity of the Year, Beacon Centre for the Blind, will be available for everyone to purchase online in the lead-up to and on the night of the Business Awards from Saturday, November 1. In a shared commitment to community impact, 20% of profits from any tee sold from the Bostin’ range, between Monday, September 29, through to Thursday, November 20, will be donated to Beacon which provides essential support to individuals living with sight loss across the Black Country and beyond.
“We’re not just selling statement tees, clothing and accessories,” says Carolyn. “We’re stitching stories, amplifying voices, and empowering identity with every thread. Supporting Beacon Centre for the Blind at the event adds real purpose to what we do—because when fashion meets community, the impact goes far beyond the wardrobe.”
