Savannah James, wife of LeBron James, is investing in volleyball.
An Instagram post revealed that she is now an investor in LOVB Los Angeles, a professional League One Volleyball team. James joins an ownership group led by Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian through his investment firm, Seven Seven Six. The group also includes Issa Rae, according to Boardroom.
“So excited to be alongside Issa Rae and Alexis Ohanian in this journey,” James expressed in an Instagram post.
James’ interest in the team is also personal. Sports is a common thread in her family through her husband, LeBron, who currently plays for the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers; son Bronny, who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers; son Bryce James, who plays college basketball for the Arizona Wildcats; and her youngest, daughter, Zhuri, who plays volleyball. In fact, Zhuri previously attended this year’s LOVB Volleyball Championship Game and made the first serve.
“It was important to me to make my investment with Love Los Angeles because my daughter is a volleyball player,” James expressed. “She is coming up alongside amazing athletes who deserve the recognition that they are getting right now. So any chance that I have to be able to support that or stand behind it, and do things that matter in that way, I am 1,000% involved,” James expressed in an Instagram video.
“We have amazing coaches, Olympic-level athletes, a roster that can’t be beat, honestly. So, so excited for you guys to join us this season,” she continued.
LOVB Los Angeles’s first season will begin in 2026-27. Home games will be held at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, CA.
A Fan Fest will be held on Sept. 26, giving players a chance to connect with fans before the season, according to The Sporting Tribune.
