St. Vincent and the Grenadines Gets Its First Ganja Lounge in Cruise Ship Port – Ganjactivist.com

St. Vincent and the Grenadines will see its first cannabis consumption space open this Friday, Oct 20th at the Kingstown Cruise Ship port. In the space formerly known as “Melting Pot”, business owner, Marcia Deane-Clarke, will launch Therapy Restaurant and Lounge and Greenhouse Café at Therapy, a cannabis consumption lounge. Residents and visitors with medical marijuana cards will be able to purchase and consume medicinal cannabis and marijuana infused drinks at a safe space in Kingstown. “We will be the first branch in Kingstown and the only cannabis consumption lounge. At Therapy you can enjoy the medicinal benefits of good company, food, drinks, snacks, relaxation and medicinal cannabis,” Deane-Clarke said in an interview.

This has been a long held dream of the entrepreneur who currently operates three Greenhouse Cafe locations. One at the Coconut Grove Beach Club, one in Bequia, and a third branch at the Lagoon Marketplace in Blue Lagoon Hotel and Marina. According to Deane-Clarke people have been asking her to open a Kingstown location and she obliged. “This will be the only one in town and then also it is something that has been requested by the tourists and now is a perfect timing for this venture as the opening of the cruise season is here,” she asserts.

“All the steps to purchase medicinal cannabis can be done here easily, your cannabis prescription, get your patient ID card, buy your products and consume,” states Deane-Clarke. Cannabidiol (CBD) infused non-alcoholic drinks made from natural juices will also be on offer, with drinks including virgin strawberry and mango daiquiris. Consumption is allowed outside of the venue and in designated areas. Food and drinks can be consumed inside. Edibles are not yet available.

Individuals in need of a medical marijuana card can acquire one on site. Once approved by a licensed physician, prices are roughly USD $10.00 for residents and US $20.00 for non-nationals.

The new location will have its opening this Friday from 5 p.m. and daily after that from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
