When is the Little League World Series? Start date, schedule, brackets for 2024 LLWS baseball tournament

The calendar has turned to August, which can only mean one thing for baseball fans — the Little League World Series is nearly here.
The sports world just had its focus on Paris for the last two weeks with the 2024 Summer Olympics taking place. Now the focus in North America shifts to Williamsport, Pa., the site for the week-and-half long action on the diamond for the 2024 Little League World Series.
Teams from all around the globe have been competing for the moment to play on Little League’s biggest stage. The journey for some began all the way back in February, working through tournaments before qualifying to compete at the historic event.
For the 2024 competition, there are 20 teams that have their eyes on the prize. Who will be the next Little League team to etch their names into baseball’s history books?
Here is everything you need to know about the Little League World Series, including start date, schedules and brackets for the tournament in 2024.

When does the Little League World Series start in 2023?
- Start date: Aug. 14
- LLWS Championship: Aug. 25
The first pitch of the 2024 Little League World Series will be thrown on Wednesday, Aug. 14 at Volunteer Stadium between two teams on the international side of the bracket. The Caribbean Region faces off against the members from the Mexico Region. The United States bracket will follow with the New England Region playing the West Region team in the opener.
The Little League World Series will also welcome the professionals to Williamsport for a “Sunday Night Baseball” game between the Yankees and Tigers on Aug. 18.
Festivities continue with a Little League Home Run Derby on Aug. 22 before the final games wrap up with a champion being determined on Aug. 25.

Regional tournaments will conclude on Aug. 9, when the final teams enter the bracket. The LLWS will see 38 games played over the course of 11 days, with around four games per day until the final weekend.
